Voge, Dorothy E. (Rucks) (21 MAR 1929 - 28 APR 2015)

Dorothy E. Voge, age 86, of Abbotsford, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Rev. David DePaoli will officiate. Inurnment will be held in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

Dorothy was born March 21, 1929 in the town of Hull to Edward and Marie (Schneider) Rucks. She received her education in the Colby School District.

Dorothy and Edward Voge were united in marriage on July 19, 1947. They moved to the Owen area where they built their home. She was employed at the Clark County Health Care Center as an aide and worked there for many years. After retirement, they moved to Abbotsford. Edward preceded her in death on December 19, 2012. In the spring of 2014, Dorothy moved to the Colby Retirement Community where she made many friends and loved to play games and crochet. She considered the residents and staff at the center an extension of her family as she bragged often about the laughs they shared.

Dorothy is survived by her two children: Dorothy M. Voge of Tomah and Randy (Pam) Voge of Stevens Point; three sisters and one brother: Margaret Firnstahl of Arpin, Ruby Lueth of Medford, Joann Johnson of Stanley, and John (Paulette) Rucks of Mosinee. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; a sister, Evelyn Woodward and a brother, Ralph E. Rucks.
