Moen, Donald "Don" Ervin (2 MAY 1934 - 27 APR 2015)

Donald "Don" Ervin Moen, 80, Medford, died on Monday, April 27 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4 at 11 a.m. at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel, with Pastor David Clements officiating. Inurnment of his cremated remains will be at Perkinstown Cemetery, with military honors performed.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Donald Moen was born on May 2, 1934 in Spooner to the late Martin William and Carrie Gertrude (Young) Moen. He graduated from Spooner High School.

In 1953 in Trego, he married Adella Belle Moyer, who survives. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Freudenthal Manufacturing, retiring in January 2015.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 47 in Portage and VFW Post No. 5729 in Medford. He enjoyed doing puzzles with his wife, fishing, working in his vegetable and flower gardens, pontooning, camp fires, watching westerns, and building things for his yard and frames for the puzzles.

In addition to his wife, survivors include six children, Donald (Ilona) Moen of Cochran, Patty (John "David") Neubauer and James "Jim" Moen, both of Medford, Jerry (Erin) Moen of Morenci, Ariz., Dawn (Keith) Lipinski of Athens and Henry Moen of Stetsonville; two sisters, Mary Jordan and Lillian Faber, both of Spooner; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, Bob, Ed and Henry Moen, and one sister, Alice Johnston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor may be made to his family to be designated at a later date.
