Sp/4 Arthur Petke Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Petke Sr., route 1, returned home Jan. 18, after completing his army service. He spent three months in Viet Nam.

Mrs. Rose Leland of Eau Claire arrived Monday to spend several days at the home of her brother-in0law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Blunck.

Miss Judy Miller, Nancy Brossow and Shirley Jensen returned to their studies at the University Of Wisconsin at Madison Tuesday, after spending a few days at the home of their parents.

Miss Marietta Camera, AFS exchange student from Bolivia, attended the AFS students get together on Friday.

Dr. and Mrs. A.A. Jarvis traveled to Chicago and East Lansing, Mich., last week, returning Sunday night. During the Chicago stay Dr. Jarvis took part on a panel conducted by the National Council for Churches. They also attended a post graduate veterinarian conference at East Lansing.

Joanne Little and Starla Amacher of Owen spent Friday and Saturday in Green Bay.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Albert took their grandchildren, Donna and Randy Albert to their home will remain at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Albert, to help in the care of her new grandson for a few days.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Fredericks and children of Appleton spent the weekend at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Bowen.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Blazer returned home on Monday after spending the weekend at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hafemeister in Menomonee Falls.

A birthday party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Copper in honor of their son-in-law, Earl Jensen, Sunday evening.

On Thursday and Friday Harold Christensen attended a Lutheran conference in Milwaukee. Mrs. Christensen accompanied him as far as Fond du Lac, where she visited her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Smith.

Terry Wenzel, a freshman student at Stout University at Menomonie, spend the weekend at the home of his mother, Mrs. Phyllis Wenzel, and daughters.

Mrs. John Potocnik entertained several ladies to a pink and blue show at her home Saturday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Jim Englebretson.

Mrs. Myron Fritsch is a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she underwent surgery Tuesday for an injured knee.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Helberg and son, Mike, of Rice Lake were weekend visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen and other relatives and friends.

Over the weekend Mr. and Mrs. Walter Petke of Minneapolis visited his mother, Mrs. Ed Petke, and other relatives and friends in the area.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Rabska and family of Chippewa Falls spent the weekend at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rabska and also attended the 60th wedding anniversary of his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Zasoba.

Miss Kristi Potocnik and friend, John Zimmerman of Madison, spent the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Potocnik.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Engel attended the Valparaiso concert orchestra at Wausau Senior auditorium at Wausau Wednesday evening, their daughter, Connie, being one of the members of the group.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mertens and children of Madison spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Alva Mertens.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Timmler and daughter of Eau Claire were guests Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blunck.

Misses Charlotte and Carol Engel of Green Bay spent the weekend at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Engel.

Mrs. Jack Ludvigsen and Mrs. Cy Crynes returned to their homes at Wilmington, Delaware and Keokuk, Iowa Wednesday, after attending the funeral of their mother, Mrs. Alganie Petersen.

Roy Segerstrom transacted business in River Falls Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Zasoba entertained relatives at the St. John’s Lutheran Church parlors to dinner and social hour Sunday afternoon in honor of their 60th wedding anniversary. Those present from away were their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Zasoba and Linda of Franklin; Dale and Mickey Zasoba of Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Rabska and family of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Miller of Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Westphal and daughter, Beverly, of Abbotsford. In all there were about 50 relatives in attendance to extend congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Zasoba.
