Fritsch, Jacqueline Ann (7 AUG 1965)

Miss Jacqueline Ann Fritsch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Fritsch, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father to Mrs. Thayes Russell Johnson of West Allis, son of Dr. and Mrs. N.C. Johnson of Chciago, during a 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 7, 1965 at the First Baptist Church of West Allis.

The Rev. A.G. Sinclair, pastor of the First Baptist Church of West Allis, performed the ceremony. A bouquet of white gladiolas, yellow, gold and brown mums decorated the altar, with soft rotating colored lights reflecting on the white altar backdrop.

Mrs. Richard Butzer sang “Entreat Me not to Leave Thee” and “The Lord’s Prayer,” with Miss Sue Pearson presiding at the organ during the double ring ceremony.

The bride, entering the church, wore a floor length dress, designed and made by her, of poi de soie. Lace trimmed the fitted bodice and formed a stand up collar at the neckline. The straight skirt was accented with a six yard silk organza train encircled in lace which flowed gracefully from the shoulder. Her veil, layers of silk illusion in bouffant styling, was held in place by a crown headpiece of matching lace. A Bible bedecked with one white orchid and streamers of stephanotis were carried by the bride.

The maid of honor, Miss Barbara Fritsch, and the bridesmaid, Miss Sandra Fritsch, sister of the bride, wore identical floor length dresses of peacock blue poi de soie, which were designed and made by the bride. A floor length drape of silk organza flowed from the back neckline. Their headpieces were circular blue net with matching bows and the bouquets were gold Fuji mums with brown cattails, which were highlighted by gold satin balls and rust colored ribbons.

The mother of the bride wore a two piece dress of gold lurex with matching shoes and purse and brown hat and gloves. Her corsage was white roses with taupe and brown ribbons. The groom’s mother wore a blue and white nylon knit dress with white accessories. Her corsage was pink roses and white carnations.

The wedding reception followed the ceremony in the church fellowship hall.

A dinner for the wedding party was given at the West Allis Inn following rehearsal Friday evening.

Following a Wisconsin honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson will be at home at 14615 Santa Rosa Drive, Brookfield, Wis.
