Mike and Joe visited William and Georgeana Schulz Friday.

The Horaks are former area residents, having lived in the home now belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pyka.

In our area over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Peterson of Ripon and Mr and Mrs. Norman Behrens and son, Paul, of Hebron, Il.

Ruby Yndogliato and her house guest, Mabel Jonkel of Baraboo, visited Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Bohnhoff Thursday afternoon.

In attendance at the Columbia picnic at Snyder’s Park recently were: Mr. and Mrs. Al Mashin, Anne Eastman, Mr. and Mrs. Bergen Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mashin and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Al Wilson, all of the Neillsville area; Mabel Schlender Jonkel, Baraboo; Emma Horak Brauner and Joe Horak of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. John Greub and Ed Mashin of Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Beach, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Peterson and Vivian Achenbach of St. Paul; Florence Garbush, president of the historical society, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Cook, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sherman, Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. George Church, Elizabeth Pflughoeft Gossman, Sarah Poertner Pekol and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dux and Ruby Yndogliato, all of Pine Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sischo, Leo Sischo, William Schulz and William Sollberger all of the Columbia area; and Mr and Mrs. Henry Stiemke of Hewett Township.

The day was cool and skies were overcast, so many did not attend because of the weather.
