Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jensen, Mrs. Ella Boxrucker and Mrs. Clara Sailor called on Mrs. Mertens at Dorchester last Thursday evening.

Mrs. Ella Boxrucker and Mrs. Floy Schnoor called on Mrs. Katie Strohkirch Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Milfred Wenzel spent Thursday at Eau Claire and drove down to Winona, Minn. and looked at the flood damage.

Mr. and Mrs. Lorance Schnoor called on Mrs. Floy Schnoor Friday evening.

The Richard Jacksons are busy painting in the new home they recently purchased from Milfred Wenzel. They will be moving about May 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Tieman and Mrs. Henry Koplitz were visitors at the Ralph Benson home in Christie Sunday afternoon.

Pvt. Marvin Koplitz has arrived safely in Germany according to word received by his parents. He writes that the season is far ahead of ours, the grass and trees are green, seeding of oats is done and some of the grain is up. He also writes that people there seem very friendly.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hiebsch, Mrs. Clara Sailor and Mrs. Floy Schnoor were supper guests last Thursday at Mrs. Ella Boxrucker's.

Mrs. Selma Churkey called on Mrs. Floy Schnoor last Saturday afternoon.

Sig Anderson was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield Sunday afternoon, where he underwent surgery the fore part of the week.

Over the weekend Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wollum and son of Eagle River visited here with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wollum and Mrs. Prudence Turney.

A week ago W.K. Doonan returned home from Minneapolis, where he enjoyed a brief visit with his son, Terry, who stopped over briefly on a business trip, and at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ed Nelson.

Sunday evening Kate Gardner and Donna Fritz returned to their studies at Stout University after being home visiting.

Mrs. Arnold Bjornstad was able to return home Saturday from St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, where she was a surgical patient last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ciokiewicz and Sherry spent Easter Monday with their daughter, Sister Jeanette at Oshkosh, where she is teaching at St. Joseph's School. Tuesday they stopped to visit John Ciokiewicz at Green Bay.

The Royal Neighbors will meet Tuesday evening, May 4, at Mrs. Jens Miller's at 8 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Heitz and family moved to Owen two weeks ago, coming from Dayton, Ohio. They purchased the Robert Hamm farm, route 2. They have five children, Martha, Shirley, Mike, and who are enrolled in the O-W. School, and Martha, age 20, Patty, one month.

Mr. and Mrs. Mel Luke and son of Waukegan, Ill. are visiting here this week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kangas.

Henry Myhre of Stanley, brother of Mrs. Arthur Wolfram, suffered a serious heart attack last week and is confined in Memorial Hospital at Stanley. Mr. and Mrs. Wolfram drove to Stanley Tuesday to visit him.

Julius Myhre of Clear Lake came Friday and is spending several days visiting at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolfram, and also to see his brother Henry, who is hospitalized.

Attending the celebration of Easter at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church in Lublin Saturday night, and participating in the outdoor processional, were the Rev. Richard Hewetson of St. Katherine's Episcopal Church and the Rev. Robert Goessling of the United Church of Christ. Father Emilian Glocar serves as minister at St. Mary's Church.

The Rev. Richard Hewetson, joined by three other diocese ministers, left Tuesday to attend a Midwestern conference for Town and Country Clergy, which is held in Put-in-Bay, Ohio. They will return Friday.
