Dhein, James (? – 9 OCT 1967)

A mass of requiem was sung at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville, Saturday morning for James Dhein, presumably lost at sea. He was among the merchantmen missing at sea when the Panoceanic Faith sank southeast of Adak, Alaska, Oct. 9, 1967. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Dhein of Clintonville, formerly of the Colby area.

Relatives from this vicinity who attended the mass were Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gierl, Mrs. Malcolm Lamont and Mrs. Bernard Klinkhammer, Abbotsford, Mrs. Kenneth Gierl and Laurie, Mrs. Lorena Gierl and Mrs. Byron Olson, Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weideman of Curtiss and Mrs. John Lukowicz of Owen.
