Kewin, Gail (Marriage - 15 September 1973)

A Granton couple, Miss Gail Kewin and James Hasz, were married Saturday, September 15, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Elmwood, in a 1 p.m. ceremony performed by the Rev. Arnold Ruddat. A reception was held at the Knapp House.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kewin of Elmwood. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hasz, Granton.

A gown of white taffeta trimmed with lace was chosen by the former Miss Kewin. Matching lace embellished the bouffant veil trailing over the gown’s seven-foot train. A cascade arrangement of yellow roses, white mums and baby’s breath complimented the bridal ensemble.

Miss Karen Peck of Elmwood, matron of honor, and Miss Vickie Hasz of Granton and Miss Marilyn Galoff of Elmwood, bridesmaids, appeared in jacketed A-line gowns of green, yellow and orchid floral design. They carried baskets of yellow, orchid and white mums accented with white baby’s breath.

Attending the groom were Roger Hasz, Granton, as bestman and James Seefeldt, Granton, and Steve Galoff, Elmwood, as groomsmen. Keven Kewin, Eau Claire, and John Grass, Wausau, served as ushers.

Connie Delong was the vocal soloist and Debbie Thomley, the guitarist.

The new Mrs. Hasz, a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing at Marshfield, is employed in Neillsville as a registered nurse. Her husband graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and is engaged in farming. They will live at Granton following their return from a wedding trip to the Western states.
