Orth, Anna (12 OCT 1890 – 8 SEP 1967)

Mrs. Anna Orth, 78, Abbotsford, died Friday, Sept. 8, 1967. She became ill at her home that morning and was taken in the Abbotsford ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where her death occurred at 7 p.m.

The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, where the Rev. Emil Hodnik conducted a rosary service at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, and the Altar Society held one at 9 o'clock in the evening. Mrs. Orth was a member of St. Bernard's congregation and an honorary member of the Altar Society.

A Mass of requiem was sung at St. Bernard's Catholic Church Monday morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. Emil Hodnik officiating. Interment was made in the Colby Cemetery with grandsons and nephews as pallbearers: Jerry Orth, Dennis Orth, Conrad Orth, Harold Baumgart, Joe Bramicker and Donald Neuman.

The former Anna Domer was born Oct. 12, 1890 at Unity and received her education there. After her marriage to George Orth at Colby on April 16, 1912, the couple farmed for a while in the Colby area, then moved to a farm in the town of Holton, which is now operated by their son, Raymond.

Mr. Orth died April 8, 1950.

For the past 15 years Mrs. Orth made her home in Abbotsford.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Marie Raehsler, Baldwin, Mrs. Ernest (Marjorit) Kugel, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Ermine Singstock, Colby; two sons, Myron Orth, Owen, and Raymond Orth, Abbotsford; three sisters, Mrs. Emil Martens and Mrs. Pauline Justman, Colby, and Mrs. Bernhard Neuman, Unit; four brothers, Leo, Ted and Carl Domer, Unity, and Bill Domer, Riplinger; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
