Zirngibl, Louise L. (Griesbach) Resech (28 OCT 1927 - 13 JAN 2015)

Louise L. Zirngibl, 87, Holcombe, WI (a former Taylor County resident) died on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at the home of her son in Stetsonville under the care of Hope Hospice.

A private memorial service is being planned for a later date.

Louise Zirngibl was born on September 10, 1927 in Perkinstown to the late Julius Sr. and Hazel (Mathias) Griesbach. She attended Perkinstown Elementary School and Hannibal High School. She graduated from Taylor County Normal School and UW-Stevens Point. Louise taught school in one room rural Taylor County Schools for 5 years and operated Resech's Cafe in Stetsonville for 10 years before moving to Iowa City, Iowa, where she was employed by K-Mart for 23 years.

Louise married Vernon Resech in Watertown, S.D. They were later divorced. She then married Clarence "Boomer" Zirngibl and they resided in Iowa until her retirement in 1991 when they moved to Holcombe.

Louise was a member of Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Auxillary of Stetsonville for 56 years, donating many volunteer hours and receiving numerous awards for her efforts. She was also a member of the Flambeau Area Trail Tenders Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, gardening, feeding birds and squirrels, many crafts, pets, family and friends.

Louise is survived by 1 son, Dennis (Karen) Resech of Stetsonville; 2 grandsons, James (Pamela) Resech of Curtiss and David (Sandra) Resech of Medford. 2 brothers, Julius "Bud" (Doris) Griesbach Jr of Westboro and Raymond "Ray" (Connie) Griesbach of Rhinelander; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence "Boomer" Zirngibl in 2006 and her sister Marcella "Sally" Krueger in 2009.
