Hainz, Janet M. (Marriage - 21 July 1973)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, was the setting July 21 for the marriage of Miss Janet M. Hainz, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hainz of Rt. 1 Neillsville and Jerold L. Horswill, son of Mrs. Rosetta Horswill of Neillsville. The 2:30 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles D. Brady. A reception was held at the Wildcat Inn.

A yoke and sleeves of French lace accented the bride’s white peau de soie princess-style gown fashioned with a chapel train. Her cathedral-length veil was secured to a lace Camelot headpiece. She carried a cascade of white and lavender orchids with trailing ivy as she approached the altar with her father, who presented her in marriage.

Mrs. Connie Carl was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were mrs. Betty Hainz of Quincy, Il., and Mrs. Marilyn Spiegel. The honor attendant’s orchid gown and the bridesmaids’ aqua gowns of flocked nylon organza over taffeta were topped by ruffled bolero jackets. Their flowers were arrangements of white and pink carnations with trailing pink and white ribbons.

Mike Hemp served as bestman. Groomsmen were Larry Hainz, of Quincy, Il., and Dennis Spiegel. Guests were seated by Greg Tomac of Eau Claire and Larry Steinwagner of Granton. Soloist Mrs. Ann Larsen sang “The Wedding Song,” and “One Hand, One Heart.”

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and of the Eau Claire School of Cosmetology, and is employed in a Neillsville beauty salon. Her husband graduated from Neillsville High School and from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in special education. He is currently doing graduate work in that field and is employed as a teacher at the Sunburst Your Home.

The couple will live in Neillsville.
