Area Graduates Enlisted (Military Notes - 1973)

Three area 1973 high school graduates recently enlisted in the U. S. Army, according to Sgt. Jerzy Bilski, local Army Recruiter.

The three are: Roy Friemoth, Neillsville, Richard Steinert, Merrillan, and Scott L. McCue, Thorp.

Friemoth, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Friemoth, Rt. 1 Neillsville. He was guaranteed automotive repair training and will be attached to the second armored division based in Ft. Hood, Texas.

Steinert, who graduated with Friemoth from Neillsville High School this past spring, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Steinert, Merrillan. He will also be trained in automotive mechanics and will be assigned to a base in Europe upon completion of his schooling.

Scott, the son of Mrs. Evonne R. Prostollo, Thorp, is slated to attend office machine repair school after basic training and will be stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Induction ceremonies were held in Minneapolis.
