Langfeldt, Darlene D. (4 NOV 1935 – 25 DEC 2014)

Darlene D. Langfeldt, 79, Loyal, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, at her home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 29, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice officiated. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.

Darlene Dorothy Wolfe was born on Nov. 4, 1935, in Loyal, the daughter of Arthur and Eva (nee Gretzner) Wolfe. She was raised and received her education in Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1953. After high school, Darlene worked in the lab at Marshfield Clinic for several years. She married Robert M. Langfeldt on May 31, 1956, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. After their marriage, Darlene provided child care, worked at Coni K's Clothing Store, and was the bookkeeper for Bob's Electric from 1971 to 2011. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its PCCW; a member and treasurer of the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary; treasurer for the Loyal Historical Society; organized the blood drives for the American Red Cross for many years; and was a former Cub Scout den mother.

Darlene had many interests, but especially loved spending time at the cottage, being outdoors, the sun, sewing, knitting, flowers, gardening, canning, playing cards, sweepstakes and the casino.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Laurie) Langfeldt, Plymouth, Minn., Julie Langfeldt, Oconomowoc, John Langfeldt, Hudson, and Jean Langfeldt, Chanhassen, Minn.; two grandchildren, Alex and Megan Langfeldt; one sister, Marilyn Rouna, De Forest; one brother, Dale (Jackie) Wolfe, Marshfield; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bob, on Dec. 5, 2014.
