Blazel, Kathryn M. ‘Dudie’ (30 April 1917 - 9 November 2014)

Together for over 74 years and apart for only five weeks, Kathryn ‘Dudie’ Blazel (nee Bogumill), at age 97 years, joined her husband Robert, on November 9, 2014. Born on April 30, 1917, Kathryn was the youngest of eleven children of Joseph and Mary Bogumill of Thorp, Wisconsin.

She is survived by her seven children: Robert L. (Etta Jo) Blazel, Marge (Jerry) Asselin, Annette (Jeff) Anderson, Susan (Fran) Shepeard, Mary (Tom) Wolff, Roger (Polly) Blazel, and Ruth (Paul) Utech. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Kathryn was a bookkeeper and always worked as she lovingly raised her children. She was the flue that held her family together, where she was in Wisconsin or Florida. Bob and Kathryn loved their last 31 years in Ocala, Florida where they enjoyed dancing and socializing with many new friends, while they maintained friendships with many in Wisconsin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 7626 West Greenfield Avenue in West Allis. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
