Janesville Settlement (20  Jun 1918)

Chas. Churkey hauled a load of calves to Greenwood Monday.

Anna and Sophia Waseca spent Wednesday evening with their sister, Mrs. J. Susa, Jr.

M.M. Bahl helped Joe Buettner pull stumps last Thursday.

Miss Laura Wendt of Neillsville made us all a pleasant visit a few days last week, returning home Sunday evening.

Ben Stanley of South Eaton called on David Moorhead, Sr., last Thursday.

Roy Rowert spent Tuesday evening with Orvill Dimeler.

Jennie and Mathilda Marlek helped Mrs. Loeffler with her household duties last Tuesday.

The Moorhead young people attended the program and social at Willard Friday evening. They say the program was unusually good. It’s a shame to think more of our people were not there to help them.

Lenie Webber called on F. Marlek Sunday.

Mrs. Wm. Rowert was a Globe caller Sunday.

F. Hatton and Roger Dillenbeck finished the cement wall they built for Mike Pudobnic.

Sophia Waseca called on Mrs. C. Hatton Monday.

Annabel and Loretta Moorhead spent Friday night with Mrs. Geo. Crotzer at Willard.

Miss Victoria Bahl was a caller at Willard one day last week.

The Larkins Club met with Mrs. Clark Hatton Saturday. All present spent a very pleasant afternoon. The next meeting will be with Mrs. M.M. Bahl.

Robert Waseca called at Joe Susa, Jr.’s last Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Froby and sons and Leo Kronberger called on Joe Buettner last Sunday.

S.B. Flagg and Clark Hatton and their wives, Mrs. Chas. Bostwick, Laura Wendt, Evan Hatton and Roger Dillenbeck all autoed up to Medford and Rib Lake Sunday. They stopped at Abbotsford to see Chas. Bostwick, who is running a dray there.

Joe Buettner autoed to the Hatfield dam Sunday.

Frank Meyer called on F. Marlek Sunday.

Donald Hatton made a week’s visit with his grandmother, Mrs. Al. Flagg.
