------ Salter, Nancy Eileen (08 APR 1967)

Miss Nancy Eileen Salter of Wausau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Salter, route 1, Unity, and Terry Gene Morrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Morrow of Colby, exchanged marriage promises Saturday, April 8. The 7 o’clock candlelight service was conducted by the Rev. James Hagen in the Colby Methodist church. Miss Mary Vorland was organist and accompanist for Miss Jean Neitzel who sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Over the Mountain”.

Attending the couple were Mrs. John Bruecker of Nichols, Wis., a sister of the bride, and Glen Turner of Owen, a friend of the groom, as honor attendants. Mrs. Richard Kloehn of Marshfield, friend of the bride, and Jerry Salter of Unity, the bride’s brother, Miss Candace Anderegg of Nekoosa and Roger Morrow of Colby, a cousin and a brother of the groom completed the wedding party.

Ray Salter of Unity, a brother of the bride, and Kenneth Morrow of Marshfield, a cousin of the groom, seated the guests at the church.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a hand made dress of white satin with a fitted bodice with a floor-length skirt of soft pleats. The long sleeves came to points with a flowered lace trim. A layered fingertip veil was held in place by a crown of aurora borealis beads set in a background of shite velvet. She carried a bouquet centered with an orchid and surrounded by white carnations.

Her attendants were dressed alike in floor-length dresses designed with fitted bodices, low back and box pleated skirt and chapel train. Their flowers were three long stemmed carnations, two tinted orchid and the center white.

Following the ceremony a reception and dance were held at Unity Memorial hall with about 250 guests in attendance. They came from Marshfield, Spencer, Unity, Colby, Abbotsford, Wausau, Owen, Nekoosa, Lincoln, Neb., and Mt. Prospect, Ill.

Colby will be the home of the new Mr. and Mrs. Morrow. The groom is employed at Welcome Dairy and his bride is employed at Vogue Beauty Shop, Wausau.
