Ross, Lorraine B. (8 JAN 1930 – 1 OCT 2014)

Loraine B. Ross, 84, Marshfield, died peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Marshfield Care Center.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Savarimuthu Selvaraj officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 9:00 am until service time at Sacred Heart Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Loraine was born on January 8, 1930 in Neillsville to Raymond and Rose (Langreck) Noll and was a graduate of Neillsville High School. She was united in marriage to William B. Ross on October 1, 1952 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He died on April 18, 1997.

Loraine was employed as a Human Resources Specialist at Weyerhaeuser Corporation, Marshfield for 42 years until her retirement. She was instrumental in the formation of Weyerhaeuser Credit Union which is now First Choice Credit Union. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Loraine was an avid Packer and Brewer fan and loved polkas, a good cup of coffee and her newspaper. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by 4 sons, Daniel (Judy) Ross, Dave Ross, Dennis Ross, and Doug Ross, all of Marshfield. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Ross, Jenny (Eric) Johnson, Theresa Ross, Megan (fiancé – Ryan Howard) Ross, and Nicole Ross, and 7 great grandchildren, Everett and Isabella Ross, Brynn, Cale and Lane Johnson, Owen Ott and Samuel Ross. She is further survived by a brother, Donald (Nancy) Noll of Two Rivers, a sister, Clara Duval of Buffalo City, a brother-in-law, Edward Gorman of Coon Valley, and a sister-in-law, Eunice Hallett of Washington State.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Gorman and Margaret “Peggy” Ross.

The family will designate a memorial in Loraine’s name at a later date.
