Funeral services for Joseph Geiger, 81, Dorchester, were held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at St. Louis Catholic church, Dorchester. The Rev. Gerald Schuh officiated, and burial was in Dorchester Memorial cemetery. Funeral arrangements were handled by Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester. Rosary services were held Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Mr. Geiger died Sunday evening at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where he had a patient for the past month.

Joseph Geiger was born Feb. 10, 1885, at Sherwood. His marriage to Minnie Wittman took place May 18, 1908, at Darboy.

Following their marriage, they moved to Dorchester and farmed in the town of Mayville for 38 years before moving to the village of Dorchester. Mr. Geiger was a member of St Louis Catholic church.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie, and seven children, Mrs. Henry (Isabelle) Kauer, Mrs. Lawrence (Adeline) Heindl, Clarence, Irving and Sylvester, all of Dorchester, Arthur, Stetsonville, and Bernard, Colby; two brothers, William and John, Appleton; 31 grand children and 27 great grand children. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
