Witkus, Louella June (Marriage - 16 December 1972)

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thorp, was the setting for the Saturday afternoon, December 16, wedding of Louella June Witkus of Rt. 3, Greenwood, and Kenneth Lee Price of Rt. 1, Spencer. The Rev. Robert Olson officiated at the single-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Grace Stasko of Stanley and Herbert Whiting of Lakeland, Fla. The groom’s parents are deceased.

For her marriage, the new Mrs. Price chose a full-length, light rose gown, fashioned with lace over-panels and a bow-trimmed Empire waist. Her short veil of light rose net was caught by a dark rose Bow headpiece. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and small, dark red rosebuds.

Attendants were Nancy Elaine Witkus of Loyal and Robert A. Mickett of Greenwood. The maid of honor appeared in a yellow full-length gown styled with a glowered Empire waist. A yellow net veil and small bouquet of yellow mums and pink carnations completed her ensemble.

Music was provided by Marvin and Dennis Augustine of Curtiss.

The newlyweds greeted guests at a reception at Gary and Jo Ann Lavin’s’. They will take a wedding trip to Benton Harbor, Mich., at a later date.

The bride is a graduate of Birnamwood High School. Her husband attended Benton Harbor (Mich.) schools and is employed by a Spencer firm as a plumber.
