Funeral services for Mrs. Mathilda H. Dietze, 79, Milwaukee, a former Abbotsford resident, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 8, at the Zion Lutheran church, Stetsonville. The Rev. Wilbur Frank will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, until noon today. Mrs. Dietze died Sunday morning at St. Luke’s hospital, Milwaukee.

Born Mathilda Hilda Colbo at Sun Prairie on June 4, 1887, her marriage to Bernard Dietze took place July 14, 1909, at Stetsonville. Following their marriage, the couple farmed near Stetsonville. Mr. Dietze died in 1931. Mrs. Dietze moved to Abbotsford in 1941, where she lived until three weeks ago, when she moved to the home of her sister in Milwaukee. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church at Stetsonville.

Surviving are one brother, Walter Colbo, Milwaukee, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Rose) Rehberg, Honey Creek, and Mrs. Edna Billstrom, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and two brothers.
