A cold, wet rain this morning cooled the atmosphere.

Mrs. A. H. Booth drove down to Loyal on Monday.

H. J. Cade is home from his work with the bridge crew.

Carl von Neupert made a business trip to Thorp on Monday.

A case of fresh cabbages was received last night by Fred Bredmeyer.

Mrs. S. C. Sanford returned home, Sunday from her visit to Bakersville.

J. W. Wicker and Frank Firnstahl accompanied to burglars to Neillsville Tuesday.

We published the oration delivered by Geo. B. Parkhill at Thorp July 4 this week by request.

Mr. W. Wegg, claim agent for the W. C. Line, was here yesterday, investigating the killing of Hecker’s pony.

Georgie Grow returned home Monday morning, going across country with G. J. Kaudy as far as Greenwood.

C. H. Curtiss, the boss hat and capman arrived last night with his sample cases full of fall and winter samples.
