Tice, Dorothy Bernice (Pfeifer) (1 MAR 1922 - 15 JUL 2014)

Dorothy Bernice Tice, age 92, of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Fall Creek Valley Care Center in Fall Creek.

Dorothy was born to John and Theresa (Henly) Pfeifer on March 1, 1922 in Milwaukee. She married Leo Tice on April 19, 1941 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

They farmed in the Donald area in Taylor County where they raised their three children, Michael, Judy and Sue. In 1964, they moved to Bloomer where she worked as a sales clerk at the local Farmers Store for many years. After the death of her husband in 1986, Dorothy moved to Eau Claire.

Dorothy was a beloved mother. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She also loved knitting and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Wayne) Webster of Fall Creek and Sue (Eugene) Tremblay of Eau Claire; daughter-in-law, Charlene Tice; sister, Sr. Mary Judine Pfeifer of Milwaukee; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; son, Michael; parents, John and Theresa Pfeifer; sister, Theresa (George) Cynor; and an infant brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 21 at St. Olaf Parish in Eau Claire, with Father Felix Tigoy officiating. Burial took place at St. Paul's North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer.
