Beltz, Kason Allen (17 NOV 2005 - 7 JUL 2014)

Kason A. Beltz, age 8, Athens, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, while in the company of family members, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Kason Allen Beltz was born in Wichita, Kan., on November 17, 2005, to Kelly Colby and David Beltz.

In October 2007, his family moved to Loyal where he lived until completing kindergarten. He attended first grade in Spencer and completed second grade in Athens, where he currently resided. He had many interests, but especially loved art, drawing, superheroes and any and all animals.

Kason will be dearly missed by his parents, Kelly Colby and David Beltz of Athens; his siblings, Austin Colby of Loyal, Karisma Spears of Athens, Phillip Perkins Jr. of Athens, Tessa Beltz of Idaho, and Alex Beltz of Nebraska; his grandparents, Jay and Sandy Sanko of Loyal and Dennis Jr. and Charlotte Colby of Greenwood; his great-grandparents, Mary Ann Wehrman of Owen and Dennis Colby Sr. of Greenwood; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara and Norman Beltz; and his great-grandparents, Allan Wehrman and Naomi Colby.

A gathering for family and friends will take place at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, on Saturday, July 19, from 2-4 p.m.
