Bruckert, Samuel (10 Dec 1917 - ?30 May 1969)

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, for Samuel C. Bruckert, 51, who died of a heart attack Friday morning while golfing at the Neillsville Country Club. He was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital at Neillsville where he died shortly afterwards.

The Rev. William Humlie officiated and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery. Graveside Military Rites were conducted by the American Legion.

The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

Pallbearers were Paul Davel, Mike Weyhmiller, Roy Olsen, Romaine Rossow, Newman Felton and Sherrin Mack.

William Chambers, soloist, was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. John A. Olsen. Songs sung were "If Thou But Suffer God to Guide Thee" and "Beautiful Savior."

The fire department and Legion attended the funeral in a body.

Mr. Bruckert was born December 10, 1917 at Beaver Dam. He graduated from Marshfield High School. September 19, 1942 he married Gwendolyn Catlin at Marshfield.

As a small boy he came to Marshfield where he received his education. He was employed at the shoe factory before entering the Air Force in 1942. On return from service i 1945 he came to Loyal where he operated the Standard Oil Agency.

He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church; member and past president of the Loyal Rotary Club; belong to the Loyal Fire Department; th Marshfield Elks Club #665; and the Loyal American Legion Post #75.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Joseph, who is stationed at Kessler Air Force Base at Biloxi, Miss.
