Hoffman, Frank (23 Feb 1885 - 24 Jan 1969)

Services were held Monday, January 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, for Frank A, Hoffman, 83, who died at 6 a.m., Friday, January 24 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Mr. Hoffman had been a patient there for the past week and cause of death was complications.

The Rev. Wm. Humlie, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiated at the 2 p.m. service and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Herman Fabian, Henry Trampush, Oscar Olson, Louis Edwards, Art Olsen, and Glen Mills.

Mrs. Verland Dux and Mrs. Erwin Dux accompanied by Mrs. John A. Olsen, organist sang, "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Rock Of Ages."

Mr. Hoffman was born February 23, 1885 at Clintonville. As a young man he went to Canada where he lived for 14 years. After his return he settled on a farm in Tomahawk where he lived until 1944 when he came to a farm in the Town of Beaver where he lived until his death.

He was preceded in death by his wife on May 22, 1965.

Mr. Hoffman was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by three sons, Arthur and Walter, Loyal; and Edward of Tomahawk; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Elsie) Fyke, Milwaukee; Mrs. Arden (Gladys) Tonn, Port Washington; Mrs. Alfred (Blanche) Scharnick, Brookfield and Mrs. Charles (Myrtle) Ehlke, Jackson; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Herman and Albert, Clintonville; two sisters, Mrs. E,mma Schley, Clintonville; and Mrs. Helen Neitzke, Bear Creek.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
