Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. George Koffarnus and Mr. and Mrs. George Weller, all of Colby.

Music for the candlelight ceremony was furnished by Robert Benson, who accompanied himself on the organ and sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “I’ll Walk With God”.

The groom’s best man was David Schultz of route 2, Colby.  Ushers were William Gill, Barron and Don Steffen, Marshfield.

For her wedding, the bride wore a gown of white peau de soie with a floor-length sheath skirt.  The bodice was trimmed with lace appliques and a scoop neckline, fitted long sleeves and a train attached to the waist.  Her petal point headpiece was fitted with a fingertip veil.  She carried a bouquet of red-lipped orchards and white stephanotis with ivy, tied with a white ribbon, and carried a white Bible.

The maid of honor wore a dress of white crepe with a floor-length sheath and scooped neckline, short sleeves and a bow in the back at the waist.  She wore wrist-length white gloves and her headpiece was of folds of net and crystals with a short veil.

Following the ceremony was a reception in the church basement.  Guests came from Milwaukee, Madison, Menomonie, Barron, Cambria, Marshfield, Fond du Lac, Wausau, Cameron, Cumberland, Tomahawk, Colby, Abbotsford, Curtiss, Auburndale, Greenwood, Stanley, Edgar, Dorchester and Palatine, Ill.

The bride is a 1964 graduate of Stout state university, presently working as the Barron county home economics agent.  The groom is attending River Falls state university where he is a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.
