James McGonigal returned from Canada Thursday, where he has been visiting the past two weeks.

A party of young people from here attended the masquerade ball at Neillsville last Friday evening.

At request of numerous friends, I announce myself as a non-partisan candidate for the office of County Judge. - R.J. Sturdevant.

The Beavers held a meeting in Mulvey's Hall Monday evening. At the next meeting, which occurs the first Monday in March, all members are requested to be present.

The Sunday School teachers of the Methodist Church met Monday at the parsonage for the purpose of electing delegates to the Sunday School teachers conventions at Marshfield.

Quite a number of young people went for a sleigh ride last Saturday night. They stopped at the home of Mr. A. Catlin and spent the evening and all report a very pleasant time.

Mrs. E.D. Murphy entertained a number of ladies at flinch last Thursday afternoon. Refreshments were served and a general good time enjoyed by all. The following afternoon she entertained the ladies at cinch.
