Haines, Connie Jean (Marriage - 30 June 1972)

The Rev. Jalmer Eldal preformed the 9 p.m. ceremony at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford. A reception followed in the church basement.

She carried a large cascade of pink roses interspersed with tiny, lighter pink rose buds and baby’s breath and trimmed with white ribbon.

Miss Judy Osthus, Sioux Falls, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Susan Frederickson, Beresford and the Misses Kay and Crystal Haines, Centerville, sisters of the bride. All wore flower print, Empire-waist gowns in shades of pink.

Charles Heimes, Beresford, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Melvin Lawrenson, brother of the groom, Fred Smith, Alexandria, and Robert Birnie, Beresford. Guests were seated by Glenn Lawrenson, Charles Tiltrum, Michael Austin and Thomas Haines.

The bride is q graduate of Centerville High School. Her husband, a Beresford High School graduate, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota. Both are employed in Sioux Falls.

Having returned from a Minnesota wedding trip, the newlyweds are living in Sioux Falls.
