Diercks, Cindy Eileen (Marriage - 8 July 1972)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church was the setting Saturday, July 8, for the marriage of Miss Cindy Eileen Diercks and Frank Henry Pozega, Jr., who are making their home in Neillsville. The Rev. Charles D. Brady officiated at the 2 p.m. double-ring, ceremony which joined the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Diercks, Rt. 2 Neillsville and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pozega, Sr., of Rt. 1 Willard.

The bride’s full-skirted gown of white lace, styled with a lace bustle, round neckline and long, fitted sleeves, was framed by a bouffant, elbow-length veil. She carried a graduated bouquet of three single, white gladioli accented by fernery as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Miss Terry Dawn Diercks was her sister’s maid of honor. Another sister, Miss Sherry Lyn Diercks, served as bridesmaid. Both wore A-line gowns of pale mint chiffon accented by white yokes and fashioned with sheer, long puffed sleeves. White lace hats with matching trim and arrangements of yellow miniature roses and carnations completed their ensembles.

Craig Tuchalski, Willard was bestman. The groom’s brother, Tommy Pozega of Willard, acted as groomsman. David Janke of Humbird, cousin of the bride, and Wayne Sessions of Marathon, cousin of the groom, seated guests.

Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson of Humbird was the soloist.

The couple greeted guests later at a reception at the American Legion Hall.

The new Mrs. Pozega, a graduate of Neillsville High School, has been employed in Marshfield. Her husband attended Greenwood High School and is an army veteran. He is employed by an area Christmas tree grower.
