Wesenberg, Marlene (15 September 1938 - 29 June 1972)

Funeral services for mrs. Arnold (Marlene) Wesenberg, 33, of Rt. 2 Granton, who was dead on arrival early Thursday afternoon, June 29, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili. The Rev. Robert Houston officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral Home at Granton was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wesenberg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rollins of Rt. 2 Spencer, was born September 15, 1938, in the Town of Fremont and was educated in rural schools there and at Loyal High School. Her marriage to Arnold Wesenberg took place September 13, 1958, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. The couple lived on a farm in the Town of Lynn. Mrs. Wesenberg, who succumbed to a lingering illness, was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.

Survivors, in addition to her parents and her husband, include, three children, Cindy, Sandra and Keith, all at home; five sisters, Mrs. David Lavey of Granton, Mrs. Donald Mahoney of Chili, Mrs. Darrell Laschen of Loyal, Mrs. Tom Pernsteiner of Granton and Mrs. Charles Ress, Jr., of Marshfield; and four brothers, Duane and Verlan Rollins of Chili, Jerry Rollins of Osseo and Dennis Rollins of Spencer.

Pallbearers were: Cyril Tasse, Ralph Riedel, Orville Garbisch, John Paun, Tom Paun, Jr., and Dan Rayburn.
