Staroselec, Mary L. (10 SEP 1966)

Miss Mary Louise Staroselec became the bride of Gerald John Skalecki on Saturday, Sept. 10, 1966, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lublin. Father Edward Czy performed the ten a.m. marriage ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mrs. Marjorie Staroselec, Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skalecki, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, wore a satateau Peau Empire sheath with re-embroidered Alencon lace motifs decked with seed pearls around the neckline, waist and kakuki sleeves. A detachable court train flowed from her waist. An open pillbox of lace enhanced with pearls and water crystals held her imported English illusion two tiered veil. She carried a stephanotis strand bouquet with camellia leaves.

Miss Candace Slota, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Sarah Slota, also the bride's cousin, was bridesmaid. They were attired in floor length gowns of sage green brocade and beargette. They were styled with empire molded brocade bodices with Sabrina necklines and bell sleeves. The waistline was accented by a petite georgette bow in front and two bows in back, and the Georgette column skirt featured gathered back panels. They wore sage green forward petal and loop headpieces with brief bouffant veils. Their posy bridesmaids bouquets consisted of yellow carnations surrounded with camellia leaves.

Herman Skalecki was his brother's best man, and groomsman was Leon Skalecki, also the groom's brother.

A dinner and reception for immediate relatives was held at St. Stanislaus Hall.

The bride, a 1965 graduate of Gilman High School, attended Stout State University, and the groom, a 1964 graduate of Gilman High School, and attends Wis. State University at River Falls, where they will make their home at Kott's Trailer Court, Rt. 3, River Falls, Wis.
