Happy Hustlers 4-H (Club News - 1972)

The Happy Hustlers 4-H Club meeting was started with the song “He’s got the Whole World in His Hands.” The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Old business was discussed. The club received a red ribbon for its play presented at Loyal on February 19. Robin Rusinko and Cheri Diers entered a speech contest. Robin received a red ribbon and Cheri received a blue ribbon.

New business was also discussed. Brenda Lindow and Missy Darling plan to attend the Wisconsin Hoofers’ club tour and demonstration at the horse Clinic in Madison.

Connie and Carla Schoengarth became new members of the club. Jean Jordahl gave a demonstration on bowling and Cheri Diers gave her speech on “Pollution in America.”

A 4-H knitting meeting will be held Thursday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Mrs. Ayers’ home. A sewing meeting will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 9:30 a.m., and a food meeting will be held April 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kiwanis room. The general meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on April 18.

The Happy Hustlers club received recognition in the national 4-H magazine for the work it did on the 1971 June Dairy Month promotion, and for Linda Diers’ (Sorry the balance of this is cut off on my copy).
