Lemons, Lawrence (14 December 1914 - 4 March 1972)

Funeral services for Lawrence Lemons, 57, of Rt. 1 Granton, who was dead on arrival March 4 at Memorial hospital, were held Wednesday, March 8, at 2 p.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. Richard Eggen of Zion American Lutheran Church officiated and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery.

Mr. Lemons was born December 14, 1914, at Hartville, Mo. His marriage to the former Edna Trask took place May 14, 1938, at Osage, Ia. The Lemons lived in Iowa until 1959, when they moved to a farm in the Town of Grant in 1969.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include five children, Mrs. Thomas (Barbara) Kennison of Floyd, Ia., Mrs. Richard (Charlotte) Moore of Owatonna, Mn, Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) Shaw of Neillsville, Mrs. Glen (Lois) Kurth of Marshfield and Larry at home; nine grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Elmer, Walter, Robert and Ivan Lemons, all of Hartville, Mo; and by three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Taylor of St. Clair, Mo, Mrs. Laurie Swanigas of Platteville, Mo, and Mrs. Jewel Goswick of Charles City, Mo.
