Kruger, Minnie; (16 Nov 1875 – 21 June 1967)

Mrs. Millie Kruger, 91, Loyal, died at 6 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, at the Memorial Hospital, Neillsville due to complications following a broken hip 2 weeks before.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, from the Loyal Methodist Church. Burial was made in the Loyal cemetery.

The Rev. Lelan Shaw officiated and the Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangement.

The former Minnie Knight was born November 16, 1875, at Caloma. On June 8, 1894, she married Herman Kruger at Caloma.

Pallbearers were Roy Thomas, Howard Sturtz, Sr., Edgar Verhalen, Robert Bertz, Ray Prior and Alex Loos.

Mr. William Chambers was the soloist and he was accompanied by Mrs. Harold Collinson at the orgam. He sang “In the Garden” and “Old Rugged Cross.

After their marriage the couple farmed in Caloma area until 1919 when they moved to a farm in the town of Loyal. Eighteen years ago she moved to the city of Loyal. Her husband passed away in 1930.

She was a member of the Loyal Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Gilbert Kruger, Loyal; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin Johnson, Coox Bay, Oregon; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by four sisters.
