Hart, Richard Louis (8 December 1932 - 1 March 2014)

Richard Louis Hart, 81, of Neillsville passed away Saturday, March 1, of natural causes under comfort care at the House of the Dove in Marshfield.

He was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late George Szaflarski and Elizabeth Wisniewski. He married Sherma Mildred Mitchell Dec. 26, 1951.

Richard worked as an automobile body repairman for 20 years in Neillsville and held multiple jobs until retirement. During his life with Sherma, they enjoyed driving to different states, dancing and singing, working in the garden, cooking and enjoying time with their family.

Survivors include his children, Richard (Aeli) Hart of Baltimore, MA, George (Peggy) Hart of Sparta, Michael Kathy) Hart of Neillsville, Jo Kaczor of Neillsville, Debbie (Kenny) Witt of Spartanburg, SC, Beth (Dale) Mroz of Spencer; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and sister, Georgianna.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Sherma, with whom he shared 58 years of love and companionship. He also was preceded by his parents; his brothers, George and Robert; and his sister, Dorothy.

A special thank you to the staff at the House of the Dove in Marshfield for making Richard’s final days peaceful and as comfortable as possible.
