Bardeleben, Minna (21 September 1889 - 24 December 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert (Minna) Bardeleben, 82, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, who died December 24, were held Tuesday, December 28 at 1:30 p.m. from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bardeleben, the daughter of Henry and Bertha Nemitz, was born September 21, 1889, in Germany. She came to the United States and lived, with her family, on a farm in the Town of Pine Valley. She was educated in rural schools of the area. Her marriage to Robert Bardeleben took place March 16, 1915, at Globe. Mrs. Bardeleben was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband, include a son, Frank Bardeleben of Rt. 2 Neillsville, and a daughter, Mrs. Harland (Velma) Gehrt of Rt. 2, Granton.

Pallbearers were Lamarr Schmitz, Art, August and Carl Nemitz, and Otto and Fred Dux. “Rock of Ages and “The Lord is my Shepherd” were sung by Mrs. Harold Mayer. She was accompanied by Victor Lehmann.

Those from out of town who attended the services included Mr and Mrs. Carl J. Papp, Delores and Ione Riedel and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Piat, all of Waukegan, Il, Mrs. George Peternal of North Chicago, Il, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sternitzky and Edward Kalsow of Granton, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gehrt of Loyal, and Mrs. Jim Cummings and Judy and Michelle Cummings of Alma Center.
