Bostwick, Mary #2 (13 DEC 1861 - 08 JAN 1943)

Mary Frances Stanley was born in St. Peters, Minnesota on December 13, 1861 and passed away at her home in Greenwood, Wisconsin at 1:30 AM.M Friday, January 8, 1943, having reached the age of 81 years and 25 days.
She grew to womanhood at Princeton, Minnesota; from there she traveled with her parents in a covered wagon to South Dakota. While there she met Henry Bostwick to who she was married on September 9 1878. To this union nine children were born, four of who died in infancy leaving three sons and two daughters who are still living.

They then moved to Wisconsin where her husband preceded her in death at the age of 69 years, four months and 26 days.

Mrs. Bostwick took an active part in church work, uniting with the Grace Methodist church on April 9, 1939.

She leaves to bourn her loss, three sons Charles H. of Greenwood; Jason of Gower City, North Dakota; Lyle of Merrillan, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Stebbens of Stockton, California and Mrs. George (Velma) Gemmeke of Greenwood, beside 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild and a host of friends who will miss her cheerful, kindly manner of life.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 9, 1943, at the Schiller Funeral Home at 1:30 and 2 p.m. from the Methodist Church, the pastor, Rev. Alex J. Abbott officiating. She was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
At the services Mrs. Geo. Haeuser and Mrs. Chal Perkins sang “Jesus, Savior Pilot Me,” “In The Garden” and “Beautiful Isle” accompanied by Mrs. John Meng at the piano.
