Helwig, Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. (Fortieth - August 1971)

Eight of their ten children and 8 grandchildren spent the weekend in Neillsville and joined in the observance of the 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Helwig, Rt. 1 Neillsville.

A dinner honoring the couple was held at the Club Arbutus in Neillsville, on Saturday, August 14. Attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Helwig and four daughters, Grace, Kathy, Julie, and Jane. The Larry Helwig’s returned recently from Rome, Italy and now living in Mclean, Va. Other family members who attended included Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hogan and sons, Danny III and David, of Alexandria, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Helwig, daughter, Terrie, and son, Shawn, of Bartlett, Il., Moss Victoria Helwig of St. Louis Park, Mn., Andrew Helwig of Racine, Miss Emery Sue Helwig of Marshfield, Dan Helwig, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Adrian Helwig, who attends Neillsville High School.

Friends of the Helwig’s who were guests included Mr. and Mrs. John Halushka, Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Bodan Halushka and family of Chicago, Il., Miss Barbara Matczniski of St. Louis Park, Mn., Miss Laurie Hansen of Granton, and Dave Olson of Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. George Olishkewych, owners of the Arbutus, prepared the dinner and presented the Helwig’s with a beautiful anniversary cake and champagne. Everyone had a good time.
