Garbisch, Nelda (28 May 1899 - 2 November 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Carl (Nelda) Garbisch, 72, of Granton, who died Tuesday in Neillsville, are to be held Friday, November 5, at 1:30 p.m. from Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. The Rev. Richard Eggen will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton beginning at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) until noon Friday, when the body of Mrs. Garbisch will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of services.

Mrs. Garbisch, the former Nelda Lautenbach, was born May 28, 1899, in the Town of Grant. Her marriage to Carl Garbisch took place October 29, 1919, at Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. The Garbisch’s lived on a farm in the Town of Grant until 1956 when they moved to Granton. Mr. Garbisch died on November 28, 1964.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Irene Mott of Granton, Mrs. Jacque (Violet) Schmidt of Green Bay and Mrs. Arden (Alice) Hinkelmann of Neillsville; three sons, Leland of Oak Creek, Marvin of Milwaukee and Vernon of Sheboygan; and 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters, Mrs. David Seif of Neillsville, Mrs. Anna Goodrich of Janesville, Mrs. Arnold Wickum of Edgerton, Miss Anita Lautenbach of Neillsville and Mrs. Werner Jahnke of Rockford, Il.; and by three brothers, Martin Lautenbach of Granton, Theodore Lautenbach of Milwaukee and Robert Lautenbach of Marshfield.
