Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gokey and daughter Nola, Antigo, spent Sunday at the R.B. Mead home.

Mrs. Tyrna Verunk and Mrs. May Glendening were Neillsville visitors on Monday.

Mrs. Jack Helding and three children of Alma Center visited Mrs. Mary Thompson at the Robert Stewart Sr. home Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smaldone returned Friday evening from a two week visit with relatives at Lake Forest and Wilmette, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger spent Sunday at the Paul Bymer home at Spencer. Mrs. Al Armstrong, Abbotsford, visited Mrs. Maud Carter on Wednesday of last week.

Mrs. Fred Behrens attended the funeral of Wm. LaFleur at Neillsville last Thursday.

Mrs. Hazel Brown attended the funeral of Wm. LaFleur at Neillsville last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie spent the weekend of Oct. 24th with their son Emory and family at Fond du Lac. On their return they visited Mrs. Voie's father, Gunder Syvertson, at Manawa.

Those from here who attended the District meeting of the officers of the Woman's Society of Christian Service at the Methodist Church in Neillsville on Wednesday of last week were Mmes. Walter Swieso, Fred Murphy, Maud Huntzicker, E.T. Opdycke, W.A. Stewart and Arthur Riley.

Delbert Gibson and Lafe Hale of Los Angeles, Calif. spent from Friday until Sunday at the Wm. Marden home. Mrs. Marden and the boys are cousins.

Miss Eleanor Krieg, Marshfield, spent the weekend at the Merril Hare home.

Mr. and Mrs. James Neuenfeldt and daughters, Mary Jo, Karen and Kathryn of Medford, visited Monday at the W.P. Neuenfeldt home.

Mrs. Glen Stewart and children returned to their home in Marshfield Sunday after spending a week at the Robert Stewart Sr. home.

Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Bergeman and family and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kebl and family were at La Crosse Sunday and visited Dick Bergeman, who attends school there.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Funke of New Holstein spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. O.J. Amundson.

Mr. and Mrs. O.R. Thompson of Rib Lake spent Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Mary Thompson at the Robert Stewart Sr. home. Mrs. Thompson remained for a longer visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Ary Arneson and family of Spring Valley spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Steiger.

Mr. and Mrs. Val Jeras, Joe Verschay and Frank Laken visited George Vivoda at Oshkosh on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Thorson, Owen, visited Saturday with Mrs. Celia Jackson.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Karlen and son Randy of Boyd called on her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth, Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jackson, Spencer, visited his mother, Mrs. Celia Jackson on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Sowieja and family visited at the James Neuenfeldt home at Medford on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Stewart spend Sunday at the Robert Van Keuren home in Madison.

Robert Schneider Sr. spent from Friday until Sunday at the Emil Buss home at Curtiss.

Miss Claire Mastalier spent Saturday at Madison, where she attended the football game.

Mrs. Fred Robbins of Minneapolis visited her mother, Mrs. Wm. Toburen, on Wednesday of last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fegre and son Kenneth of Park Rapids, Minn. are visiting relatives and friends here.

James Ellingson, who is attending college at Whitewater, spent the weekend of Oct. 24th with his mother, Mrs. E.S. Ellingson.

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Afkend of Abbotsford visited his sister, Miss Melva Afkend, Sunday.

Mrs. Lawrence Cox and daughter Nancy, Mrs. Minnie Cox and Mrs. John Syth and daughter Carol were at Owen Sunday afternoon and attended the musical recital of Mrs. Wilson. Nancy and Carol took part in the program.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Scherr spent from Friday until Sunday, a week ago, with her mother, Mrs. Henry Falkner and other relatives at Durand. Mr. and Mrs. Florian Herrick and daughters spent Sunday there and all returned home that evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Shefchik, Jean, Joan and Junior of Loyal visited Sunday at the Charles Shefchik home.

Mrs. Avi Gordee returned to Milwaukee on Sunday, after visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gordee.

Mr. and Mrs. Harland Brux, Dale and Janet visited relatives at Amery and Balsam Lake on Sunday.

Bill Snedic, who attends St. Norbert's College, De Pere, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Snedic.

Dale Jolivette, Stevens Point, and Miss Elaine Jolivette, Marshfield, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jolivette.

Frank LaBonte underwent an operation at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, the first of the week.

Mr. and Mrs. S.W. Caruthers and their daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Paul Baker, and grandchildren Rodney and Valjean of Tucson, Ariz. Motored to Apache Junction, Ariz., at the foot of Superstition Mountain, on Saturday and visited their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Garbor and daughter Virginia. In the afternoon they drove to Phoenix and visited places of interest at the capital. In the evening they attended the annual square dance for under privileged children at Mesa, where there daughters, Misses Mill and Dorothy Caruthers and the square dance caller, Ralph Smith, and other friends joined them. They spent the night at Garbor's and the following morning cooked their breakfast over a fire place, and spent the day swimming and sightseeing at Apache Lake and the famous old Apache Trail, after which they returned home. All reported having a good time.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Metke, Fort Atkinson and Bruce Busch, Owen, spent the weekend at the Geo. Einfeldt home. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck and family were dinner guests there.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Elmer and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Hanson of Monroe visited from Thursday until Saturday at the Harry Gordee home. Mrs. Elmer and Mrs. Hanson are sisters of Mr. Gordee.

Mrs. George Caliebe took her Sunday School class to Eau Claire on Sunday to the movie "Martin Luther." She was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caliebe and children.
