Miss Jean Riley of Green Bay visited at the Irvin Carl home from Wednesday until Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ruth and family of Appleton visited at the Ernest Elmer home Monday afternoon.

Pvt. Donald Schwarze, who has been stationed at Camp Gordon, Georgia, left Wednesday for Camp Stoneman, Calif., after spending his 10 day furlough here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Schwarze.

Mrs. Sophia Sparks, who spent the past two weeks in teh Carl Nelson home, was called to her home at Wis. Rapids last Thursday by the illness of her sister-in-law.

Mrs. Martha Cole and daughter, Mrs. Leonard Johnson, were called to Viroqua Saturday by the illness of Mrs. Cole's sister.

John Speich, Russell Mead, Frank Drake and Abe Speich of Ripon were at Eau Claire Saturday night and attended a baseball game.

S/Sgt. Gary Corey, arrived home Friday, Aug. 28, after a year of overseas duty in Korea. He is spending a 20 day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Corey.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart Sr. and daughters Mary Lou and Helen, who spent ten days in Denver, Colo., and four days with Mrs. Stewart's brother, Lloyd Thompson, returned home on Tuesday of last week. They also visited the Rockies, Bad Lands, and Black Hill. Lloyd Stewart, who spent the summer in Denver, returned home with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed E. Grimm and family spent from Wednesday until Sunday at the Geo. Einfeldt home. They had a vacation trip through the Black Hills. On Sunday they attended the Van Airsdale family reunion at Waupaca with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Einfeldt, Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck and daughters.

Louis Koschak of Waukegan, Ill. is visiting relatives and friends here.

Evelyn Cox, who visited her mother last week, returned to her work in Milwaukee on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Blaasch spent the weekend with relatives at Port Washington and Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Boettcher and Mrs. Violet Miner, Milwaukee, were weekend guests at the R.L. Barnes home. Mrs. Miner remained for a longer visit.

Mrs. George Caliebe returned home Sunday from the state of Washington, where she visited her sister.

Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Kitzhaber and son Ronald spent the weekend near Luck, Wis. with the former's sister, Mrs. Josie Harkness and sons.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart, Mary Lou and Helen visited Sunday afternoon at the buck Jepsen home at Rib Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Stewart visited at Marshfield on Wednesday of last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jeras and son of Lyons, Ill. spent the weekend visiting relatives here and at Willard. They returned home Tuesday and their daughter, Carol, who had been visiting here, returned with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Alperstett, Carol, Connie and Kaye and Wm. Alperstett returned home Sunday after spending a week at Wayne and Hooper, Neb.

Lee Jolivette and son Dale spent the weekend at Flint, Mich. They returned home on Monday, accompanied by Mrs. Lee Jolivette, who had spent a week at the home of her son, Raymond Ackerman and family.

Mr. and Mrs. John Putzel have had their children, who live out of the state, as guests this month. They were Mrs. Eugene K. Ianke and son Kenneth of St. Louis, Mo., who arrived with Mr. and Mrs. Earle Putzel and family of Fort Worth, Texas. Later arrivals were Mrs. Frank Russ Jr. and son Bob of East Helena, Montana. The out of town visitors were also guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holt and family, Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hotser and family, Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cox and Nancy spent Sunday at Waupaca.

Hy Carl left Sunday to resume his studies at the University of Wisconsin.

Arnold Beyer underwent an operation at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Wednesday morning.

Simon Schwarze again entered St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, last Friday for treatment.

Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Opdycke left Sunday for a trip to Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and South Dakota. They plan to be gone about three weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Winkel and son of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. John Brezic visited at the Frank Laken home Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Abe Speich of Ripon visited relatives here over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dinger of Cashton visited at the Melvin Fegre home over the weekend.

Miss Verna Gordee, Milwaukee, is visiting here parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gordee.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wuethrich and children and Mrs. John Wuethrich spent the weekend at the Wuethrich cottage near Hayward.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jackson of Lewiston, Minn. are visiting his mother, Mrs. Celia Jackson, and other relatives.

Mrs. O.R. Thompson, who spent ten days with her mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Thompson at the Robert Stewart home, left for her home in Rib Lake last Tuesday.

On Tuesday of last week the Misses Gladys and Carol Drew were at La Crosse. Gladys will teach there this year. The Chamber of Commerce entertained the teachers at a sightseeing trip up the Mississippi, followed by dinner.

John Snedic and Attorney C.E. Gorsegner spent last week in Colorado, where Mr. Gorsegner attended a Lawyer's convention and John went sightseeing.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Elmer returned last Thursday from a week's visit with relatives and friends at Milwaukee, Columbus, Madison, Mount Horeb, and Tomah.

Mr. and Mrs. George Speich and daughter Carol returned Sunday from a trip through northern Wisconsin and Michigan. They visited many places of interest, including a trip through the Canadian locks at Sault Ste. Marie, the Ford Museum and Greenfield Village at Dearborn, returning home by way of the Milwaukee Clipper across Lake Michigan.

Mr. and Mr.s August Lemberg spent Sunday at the Howard Corey home.

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stewart, James, Mary and Suzanne, visited Sunday evening at the Robert Stewart home.

Mr. and Mrs. Myric Hales and family of Loyal visited Sunday evening at the George Haeuser home.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ramin and son John returned on Tuesday of last week after spending a week at Ely, Minn. at a cottage and in Minneapolis with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Vandehey of Stanley visited Friday at the Mike Kowieski home.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kowieski and family of Chicago visited on Wednesday of last week at the Mike Kowieski home.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vollrath, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ramin and son John, attended the wedding of Vivian Langfeldt and Ted Briski at Unity Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. George Einfeldt and Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck were at Waupaca Sunday, where they attended a family reunion.

Lester Johnson underwent an operation for appendicitis at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, last week.

Elmer Albright of Alton, Ill. visited on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week at the Mrs. Maud Huntzicker and Frank Drake homes.

Mr. and Mrs. Erlin Bergeman and daughters Barbara and Betty of Fort Atkinson and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Bergeman of Granton visited Saturday evening at the H.M. Bergeman home.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson and daughter Patti Jo left Monday for Bayfield for a week's vacation.

Mr. and Mrs. Greg Rogillio enjoyed a trip into Michigan, Canada and northern Wisconsin over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Hoesly and Mile, who have been visiting her parents, Dr. and Mrs. R.L. Barnes, left Tuesday for their home in Madison.
