On Wednesday, June 17, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Miss Irene Marie Lindner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Lindner, R. 2, Loyal, became the bride of Franklin Wilke, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilke of Pittsville, at a 9:00 a.m. Nuptial Mass. The Rev. Father Edward Hartung officiated.

The bride was attired in a floor length white lace gown which featured a panel of pleated nylon net down the front. Her veil was attached to a cap and she carried a bouquet of carnations and sweet Williams.

Her sister, Jacqueline Lindner, as maid of honor, wore a strapless pink gown with full skirt and matching bolero. She carried a bouquet of white daisies and pink and white peonies.

Mary Ann Wilke, sister of the groom, and Jeanette Lindner, a sister of the bride, as bridesmaids, wore lilac and green colored gowns respectively, styled similarly to the maid of honor. They carried bouquets of white peonies and mixed garden flwoers.

The groom was attended by his cousin, Andrew Lindner Jr., as best man. Donald Lindner, brother of the bride, and Melvin Wilke, brother of the groom, were groomsmen. The ushers were Carl Lindner, another brother, and Reynold Lindner, a cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a dinner, supper and reception were held at the Carl Lindner home.

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School with the class of 1952 and the groom is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School with the class of 1948, and attended the University of Wisconsin for two years. They will reside at Pittsville, where the groom is employed on his father's farm.
