Lenz, Ida E. (31 OCT 1882 - 6 JAN 1953)
Mrs. Hugo Lenz, nee Ida Elizabeth Lewke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lewke, was born Oct. 31, 1882 near Columbus, Dane Co., Wis. She was bapitzed in Zion Lutheran Church and confirmed there by Rev. Koch.
On Nov. 11, 1903 she was untied in marriage to Hugo Lenz at Zion Lutheran Church, Columbus. They resided there for three years, coming to their present home near Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) on Oct. 26, 1906.
To this union were born seven children: Mrs. Louis Warnke, Greenwood; Roy Lenz, Oconomowoc; Wilbur Lenz, Greenwood; Mrs. Allen (Bethel) Christopherson, Hartford; Arnold and Loren Lenz, Oconomowoc, and Donald Lenz at home.
Mrs. Lenz passed away at 12:30 a.m. at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1953 of a heart attack. She had reached the age of 70 years, 2 months and 5 days.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and an active member of its Ladies
Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9th, and she will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Walter Schedler will officiate.
Mrs. Lenz is survived by her husband and the above named children, nine grandchildren, on sister, Mrs. Helen Wendt, Marshall; one brother, William Lewke, Columbus.
Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.
