Arndt, Diane Marie (Marriage - 18 September 1971)

Miss Diane Marie Arndt and Ronald Eugene Anderson exchanged wedding vows Saturday, September 18, at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Arthur Hellert performed the double ring ceremony before 200 guests. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Arndt of Rt. 1 Owen and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Anderson of Rt. 2 Withee.

The bride was attired in a gown of nylon organza and lace styled with a high neckline sequin-trimmed bodice; bishop sleeves, and an A-line skirt with scalloped lace panel. The attached, chapel-sweep train was ended in lace. She carried a nosegay of red and white carnations as she was given in marriage by her father.

Miss Janice Anderson was the maid-of-honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Ellen Bork. They wore aqua floor-length, empire-waist gowns fashioned with long sleeves and low necklines and accented with long velvet ribbon and sleeve and waistline trim. Their flowers were aqua tailored carnations.

Allen Arndt served as bestman. Groomsman was Douglas Hines. Ushers were Bill Anderson and Terry Arndt.

A reception for 300 guests was held at the Abbotsford City Hall, where music was provided by the Mike Briski Band of Thorp.

The newlyweds are graduates of Owen-Withee High School. The bride is employed at an Owen bank and the groom as a truck driver for a Longwood cheese factory. They will live on Rt. 2 Withee.
