Hansen, Camille “Connie” (6 April 1923 - 5 January 2014)

Camille “Connie” Hansen, age 90, of Owen, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the Clark County Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorp. The Rev. Gerald Heinecke will officiate. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Town of Hixon. Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.

Connie was born on April 6, 1923, in New Prague, MN, the daughter of John and Anna (Reinstein) Zvanovec. She attended school in New Prague, worked as a live-in nanny, and worked at Griggs-Cooper during WWII helping with the war effort. Connie then moved to Thorp and worked at Blue Moon Cheese Factory. She was united in marriage to Raymond Biddle in December of 1941. He was later killed in action in April of 1942. Connie was united in marriage to Clifford Hansen in December 1945. He preceded her in death in April 1997. Together they farmed on several farms in Clark County before settling on a farm north of Withee in the Town of Hixon. Connie was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and sewing. She made numerous stuffed animals and dolls.

Connie is survived by her son, Lynn Jay (Marcela) Hansen of Owen; five grandchildren: Shawn Philip (Misty) Susa of Green Bay, Matthew Ryan (Maribel) Hansen of Yuma, AZ, Shana Nicole (Chad Allen) Czeck of Wausau, Nickolas Allen Hansen of Milwaukee and Merrideth Christine (Cecil Dewayne) Richard, Pleasant Prairie, WI; eight great-grandchildren: Sierra Nicole & Jacob Skyler Susa, Matthew Dale, Jr. & Madison Daniela Hansen, Chandler Joseph & Chayse Philip Czeck, Hannah Melody & Jayden Lee Richard. She is further survived by her sister, Irene Baumgardener of Detroit, MI; and her sister-in-law, Elaine Hansen of Greenwood; her son-in-law, Ronald Licht of Withee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Raymond and Clifford; her son, Arvin; and her daughter, Melody Licht; two brothers and two sisters: Karl, Stanley, Patsy and Martha.
