Phillips, Janice K. (1 AUG 1937 - 24 DEC 2013)

Janice K. Phillips, 76, Plymouth, formerly of Loyal, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Sheboygan Senior Center, where she had been a resident for the past four months. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 29, at the Suchon Funeral Home, Plymouth. Rev. Susan Safford-Gaul, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls, officiated. Cremation will follow the services and inurnment will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Janice Smith was born on Aug. 1, 1937, in the town of Beaver, a daughter of James A. and Verona L. (nee Buzza) Smith. She attended Loyal grade schools and graduated from Loyal High School in 1956. She was employed at Johnsonville Food Company in Johnsonville for nine years. Janice was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls. She enjoyed "garage saleing" and watching sporting events for her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her six children, Kirk Phillips, Plymouth, Verona (Jeff) Lampe, Sheboygan, Tammy (Roland) Buchanan, Sheboygan, David (Rhonda) Phillips, White Pigeon, Mich., Betsy Wine, Sheboygan, and Timothy “Peach” Phillips, Hermosa Beach, Calif.; her grandchildren, Nic, Jon (Veronica), Patti (Jesse), Kevin (Stacy), Ben (Sarah), Jake, Schuyler “Jim”, Jeremy (Meredith), Michelle, Justin (Katie), Kaytlin and Eddie; her great-grandchildren, Silhouette, Jaxton, Sophie, Jonah, Jameson, Bethany and Charlotte; two sisters, Joan (Bud) Smith, Loyal, and LaVade (Arden) Carl, Nescopeck, Pa.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Edward Jr.
