Services were held Monday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home, Neillsville, for Mrs. Charles Barr, 56, who died Thursday, March 16, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.

The Rev. W. C. Koehler, pastor of the United Church of Christ, officiated, and burial was made in the Greenwood cemetery.

The former Mable Shupe was born November 4, 1910, at Loyal, and received her education there, graduating from the Loyal High School. She worked as a clerk at N. R. Baird Store at Granton for several years. Her marriage to Charles Barr took place August 4, 1934, at Greenwood. After their marriage the couple made their home in Neillsville.

Mrs. Barr had served on the election board for several years in the city of Neillsville, and was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter of Loyal.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Stigen, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Marvin (Carol) Fischer, Black River Falls; a son Thomas, Minneapolis; five sisters, Mrs. Jess (Vivian) Raab, Mrs. Lawrence (Nettie) Davel, Loyal; Mrs. Jack (Helen) Fahey; Mrs. H. R. (Iona) Baird, Greenwood; and Mrs. Willard (Elsie) Ziemmendorf, Wisconsin Tapids; two brothers, Glen Shupe.\, Berlin, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Vernard (Elva) Kauffman, and a brother, Lee Shupe.
