Englebretson, Yvette Marie (Marriage - 19 June 1971)

Miss Yvette Marie Englebretson and Jesse Francis Zvolena were married Saturday, June 19, at 1 p.m. in a double ring ceremony performed in the Loyal United Methodist Church by the Rev. Conrad Mickelson. A reception for 150 guests was held at the Village Plaza in Spencer. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Englebretson of Loyal. The room’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zvolena of Rt. 2 Loyal.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an empire-waist, white satin A-line gown fashioned with a scoop-neck, lace-overlaid bodice with sheer lace sleeves, and an organdy overskirt. Her floor-length veil was held by a headpiece of miniature carnations and stephanotis. She carried a cascade bouquet of phalaenopsis orchids, miniature carnations and stephanotis.

Miss Connie Englebretson was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Ellen Hain of Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. Dean Schweiger of Granton. The bridal attendants were attired in high- waist, short sleeved gowns of ribbed knit accented with floral trim. The maid of honor’s gown was lemon yellow; the bridesmaids’ gowns were orange and lime green. All carried colonial baskets of white and yellow daisies.

Gene Redlick of Milltown was bestman. Groomsmen were Michael Zvolena and Dean Schweiger. Ted Zvolena and Tim Englebretson served as ushers.

Michael Tucker, the bride’s cousin, was the organist. A trio made up of Connie, Sue and Sandy Smith sang vocal selections.

The bride is a home economics education graduate of Stout State University. The groom, a River Falls State University graduate, teaches agriculture at Verona High School. The newlyweds will make their home in Verona after July 1.
