A number from York attended the efficiency convention at Loyal last Thursday.

Mr. Summerfeld, who purchased the Joe Lastofka farm last fall, has again sold it to a party from Stratford, taking some property there in exchange for it.

Miss Elsie Lastofka of Neillsville is spending a few days with John Lastofka and wife.

Alvin VandeBerg was taken to the Marshfield Hospital Saturday where he underwent an operation for appendicitis. His wife and mother accompanied him and returned home Monday morning as he was getting along fine.

Laverne, the two-yr.-old son of Jesse Rowe and wife, fell while at play last Friday evening, putting his shoulder out of joint. Dr. Ross was called and soon had the shoulder set.

George A. Root died at his home last Monday morning of dropsy and other complications. The funeral will be held Wednesday at the York Center M.E. Church of which he was a member.

Last Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock Bert Hayden and Mrs. Jennie Graves were united in marriage, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating.

Frank Luck fired several shots at a wolf last Friday morning. It crossed his field just north of his buildings.
