J.M. Palms opened a flour and feed store in the city meat market. Chris Wollenberg had charge of it.

A petition was circulated for the benefit of George Mead, who lost his grain by fire. About $30 was subscribe.

John Miller was sentenced to serve two years in state prison, having plead guilty to the forging of the name of Milo Smith.
